Do you want to live through His quickening power or simply exist?

In 1 Corinthians 15:36 the Paul says “Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die” which gives us a peek into a powerful spiritual principle.

In the Kingdom of God only what dies, lives.

Jesus referred to the same thing when he spoke of his death and resurrection in John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit”.

Doing the will of the Lord is dying to oneself. Choosing what is pleasing to God is an effective way to die to our lustful desires and pet preferences.

In Heb 11:25 we read Moses chose to die to himself when he “chose to rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season”. After which he rose to become the great prophet of God who gave us the Torah.

To live through the quickening power of God’s Spirit, we first must die. Only after which we will experience the amazing power of God displayed through our lives!
