Changi Chapel Community is a community of Christ-followers who seek to disciple and be discipled.
We exist to grow rich in love towards God and towards each other – and also grow rich in good works caring and serving those in need, distress or poverty.
It started as a ministry to those whom we discipled in prison – and for those prisoners who wanted to stay connected to a community of believers when they were released from prison.
The picture you see is the famous Changi Chapel in Singapore, which was earlier housed inside the Changi Prison in Singapore.
Those benches were hewn from wood by prisoners during the World War II – by those who wanted to create a sanctuary to meet on Sundays inside prison.
For a few years, some of us conducted an evening service every Sunday evening at 6 pm for ex-prisoners and their families at the Changi Chapel and Museum, adjacent to the famous Changi Prison in Singapore.
We met these ex-prisoners and their families each Sunday evening, to disciple and nurture them in the faith.
Since 2013, the evening services for ex-prisoners and their families at the Changi Chapel premises were disbanded, as many of them joined the different churches in Singapore.
But the community of believers who were ministering to ex-prisoners continued to fellowship both in person and online, by being a part of this website.
Since 2013 our focus has been to grow to become as a community of disciples from different parts of the world, who are committed to serve prisoners, migrant workers and ex-prisoners who love Christ and seek to be discipled.
If you too want to join us in this life journey of being a disciple of Christ, follow us on this blog.
You can be resident in any part of the world but if living a life of surrender to Jesus Christ is your passion, we welcome you to become a part of our community.
We will be happy to pray with you and for you. Email us your needs and we will be glad to fellowship and support you, as best as we can.
