Is the light in you darkness? Can you be so deceived?
In Luke 11:35, Jesus said ““Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness” What did He mean by that?
The Lord Jesus is pointing to a reality that we can be so self-deceived thinking that we are filled with light when actually we are filled with darkness!
The Pharisees were so outwardly religious they gave the impression they were filled with light. But Jesus saw their actual condition and said that in their inside they were full of “extortion and wickedness”.
Each of these Pharisees were self-deceived and thought that they were truly God fearing and righteous when actually they were abominable in God’s sight.
This is a reality that God says can happen to any of us. And our works will show if indeed the light within us is truly light or darkness.
