Are you a light on a candlestick or are you hidden under a bowl?
In Luke 11.33, Jesus said that “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl”.
Light by nature reveals reality as it is. It makes obvious what otherwise will be hidden. And Jesus wants us to shine forth the truth about Him in whatever context He will place us.
Is your light revealing to others what will help them to experience true peace and joy? Is your light proclaiming righteousness to a world that is given to deception, fraud and manipulation?
When we are walking candlesticks with our lights shining brightly, the world will never be same.
So is your candlestick lighted and burning bright today?
