In Luke 9:4, we see how Jesus instructs His disciples to “shake off the very dust from their feet” whenever they face any rejection or push back to there ministry.
But isn’t good news something to be always received joyfully, every single time? According to Jesus, even preaching the good news can invite rejection!
Why would this be so? Why would you not want the devils to be cast out or the sick healed in your city?
Because the good news is all about joyfully submitting to the King of the Kingdom.
Which is not what every one is excited about. Those who love their kingdoms more than His kingdom, will feel threatened and insecure!
