Have you experienced the blessing of being in the wilderness?

God always chooses to shape a person best in the wilderness.

Whether it was Moses who was 40 years in the wilderness or David who fled from Saul to live his youth in the wilderness or Paul who went to the Arabian desert after his conversion experience, the wilderness shaped and molded each of them to become the men of God that He wanted them to become.

Even Joseph had his wilderness experience when he was sold into slavery and was for about 13 years in Potiphar’s house and later cast into prison.

For Joseph it was the wilderness of being rejected by his own family and being an alien in the land of Egypt, till God raised him up to become the Prime Minister of the country.

Being in the wilderness often entails being cut of from creature comforts or familial support that we otherwise are so dependent upon.

But it is in the wilderness that spiritual communion happens best. It is often only in the wilderness we can experience His felt presence and hear Him clearly.

Will you willingly embrace whatever wilderness the Lord may lead you to?
