Have you ever wondered about the difference between Divine punishment and Divine chastisement?
There is a threefold distinction between divine punishment – and divine chastisement.
1. When it is Divine punishment, God acts a Judge – and when it is Divine chastisement God acts as Father!
2. Similarly, Divine punishment is towards His enemies – whereas Divine chastisement is for His children!
3. In the same vein, Divine punishment is retributive – and Divine chastisement is remedial.
The former flows from His anger – the latter from His love!
So, will we embrace His chastisements?
