Holiness is not only what God gives me, but what I manifest that God has given me.

* Oswald Chambers is best known for his devotional My Utmost for the Highest – a christian classic that continues to spiritually nourish and stimulate thousands of believers since it was published. His teaching on the life of faith and abandonment to God have endured to this day. He was a gifted artist and never thought he would go into ministry till He encountered the Lord in Edinburgh, where he transferred to the Dunoon Bible College. His wife Gertrude (whom he affectionately called Biddy) was a court stenographer who could take dictation at the astounding rate of 250 words per minute! It was her transcriptions of Oswald’s morning devotions that was compiled into the Utmost for the Highest, posthumously – John
