Mordecai Ham (the evangelist who led Billy Graham to Christ) once confronted an atheist who was hiding in a cornfield to avoid the preacher.
"What are you going to do?" asked this atheist,
"Ask God to kill you" replied Ham. The atheist protested. Ham said since the man claimed to believe there was no God, such a prayer should’nt bother him in the least. Nevertheless the atheist begged Ham not to pray for his death. So Ham agreed to pray for His salvation instead and the man was converted on the spot.
Ham would write there are three reasons men run from Christ…
1. Love of gain,
2. Love of sins that make them shun the light,
3. Fear of what others will say of them.
