Evangelist/Hymn Writer
* Daniel Thambyrajah Niles was a Sri Lankan evangelist and hymn writer. He was born in Sri Lanka and died in Vellore, India in 1970. His other famous quote was "The gospel came to us as a potted plant. We have to break the pot and set the plant in our own soil" reveals how he sought to contextualize and make the Christian faith indigenous in the Asian context.
